Slightly Nutty, Toasted Caramel, Full Body

In another nod to our early 2000s origins, ThunderCloud was our first attempt at a dark roast. The “ThunderCloud” name came from the smoke billowing out of the roaster (likely accentuated by the slow cooling fan) when we dropped the coffee into the cooling tray. This often prompted a shout of “Thunder Cloud!” ThunderCloud remains our most developed coffee, offering enough roastiness to satisfy dark roast lovers without being burnt. Expect a full-bodied, strong, and sweet cup. It’s excellent as espresso or as a classic diner-style drip coffee.
