How do you handle a young, enthusiastic coffee buyer who purchases too many lots of green coffee? Naturally, you create a blend.

Our original house blend, Four Leftys, was born in 2005. It began as a blend of delicious washed coffees from four of Panama’s pioneering producers: Finca Hartmann, Cafe de Eleta, Bambito Estate, and Los Lajones. The name, however, doesn’t refer to those four farms. Instead, it honors the shared handedness of those who named it – co-founders Jake and Herb Brodsky, along with early Novo team members Mike Lair and Pat Campbell, all of whom are left-handed.

Over the years, the blend has evolved to include other origins but generally features washed coffees from the Americas. With a slightly more developed roast profile than our standard offerings, it’s an easy-drinking coffee that’s great for drip and virtually any other home or commercial brew method.
